This case study outlines the collaboration between G.Network and 3-GIS to enhance the fibre broadband infrastructure in London. G.Network, a telecommunications provider, faced challenges with its existing physical network inventory solution, which resulted in incomplete and outdated information due to multiple data sources and manual reconciliation. As G.Network expanded its network, the planning and design teams required a more efficient method to manage critical data and decision-making processes. The selection of 3-GIS | Web as the system of record provided the necessary flexibility and control to support this expansion. The implementation of this solution allowed G.Network to maintain a single database for documenting as-built plans and asset registry, leading to improved operational efficiencies. The results included a clearer view of data, elimination of manual processes, and the ability to double installation rates without increasing crew size. G.Network aims to integrate 3-GIS | Web into its core business systems for enhanced visibility across departments.
