This case study details the UX Assessment conducted by 3Pillar Global for a leading subscription-based image library provider following its acquisition of a competitor. The assessment aimed to address the declining usage of the acquired platform. The process included a UX Heuristic Analysis and user interviews over an eight-week period. The heuristic analysis identified usability issues across ten categories, revealing critical errors that hindered user engagement. User interviews provided insights into user confusion and expectations, highlighting areas for improvement in the application architecture. The findings led to actionable recommendations for enhancing functionality and user experience, including the creation of a journey map to prioritize design solutions. The outcome of the assessment showed initial positive trends in user engagement and account creation, indicating potential for revenue growth. The client has continued to collaborate with 3Pillar to further enhance user experiences across their platforms.
