This case study details the implementation of AB Tasty's intelligent search solution by Peek&Cloppenburg* KG Hamburg, an international fashion retailer. The objective was to enhance the online customer experience and improve site performance through consistent testing of site architecture and usability. The intelligent search was integrated into the existing website, utilizing a knowledge base of product data, industry knowledge, and customer purchasing behavior. Key features included error tolerance and faceted navigation, aimed at improving search accuracy and nudging customers toward conversion. The results of the implementation were measured over a four-month period, revealing a 10% increase in average order value, a 29% increase in orders from online search, and a 10% increase in the share of turnover from search. The findings indicate that the intelligent search function positively impacted the online store's performance while reducing administrative time. The retailer plans to expand site functionality with additional intelligent search features and personalization opportunities.
