e-Accounting Adaptation for SAS Automotive in Mexico

This case study details the adaptation of e-accounting for SAS Automotive Systems by abat Mexico to comply with the requirements of the Mexican tax authority, Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT). The document outlines the challenges faced by SAS, including the need to report specific financial figures and the limitations of their SAP systems in generating uniform data. The partnership with abat Mexico was established due to their expertise in adjusting e-accounting systems for German companies operating in Mexico. The solution involved a system analysis, preparation for connection, and the creation of a 'bridge solution' using SAP Notes, ensuring that existing SAP structures remained intact. The implementation process included a test phase, documentation, and user training. The resulting e-accounting solution allows SAS to efficiently inform the tax authorities about financial figures, prepare balance sheets, and invoices, while being adaptable to future legal changes. The solution is designed to be user-friendly and requires minimal maintenance.
