This technical report outlines a major capital investment project aimed at enhancing asset management processes at London Gatwick Airport. The project was initiated due to the inadequacies of the existing asset management framework, which was hindered by outdated software, siloed operations, and inconsistent workflows. The objective was to modernize the airport's systems by transitioning to an integrated approach, partnering with Accruent and Pentagon Solutions. The implementation involved establishing Meridian Vault for internal document management and Meridian Portal for cloud-based document exchange. Key challenges included data duplication, unclear processes, and the need for a structured escalation process. The report details the collaborative efforts to address these challenges, including regular meetings, open communication, and the development of a tailored system. Results indicate significant improvements in document management, with approximately 627,000 documents now securely managed. The report concludes with ongoing initiatives to further enhance asset management processes, ensuring alignment with the airport's long-term vision.
