Controlled Engineering Change Management for Innovation

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of the Meridian engineering information management solution at Nobian Industrial Chemicals. The objective of the case study is to address the challenges faced by Nobian in managing engineering changes due to outdated legacy document management systems. The challenges included a lack of standardized processes, unclear document ownership, low document integrity, and unavailability of critical asset information. The Meridian solution was selected to standardize the management of change processes, providing comprehensive document management services, secure document transfer, and integration with SAP PM. The results highlighted the benefits of controlled change management, improved accuracy of asset information, and faster access to engineering information for maintenance and operations, significantly enhancing the efficiency of concurrent engineering projects.
