This case study details the implementation of Maintenance Connection, a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), by Masters Gallery Foods, a leading cheese supplier in the United States. The company faced challenges with its previous CMMS, which was difficult to use and lacked mobility and reporting capabilities. The objective was to enhance asset maintenance proactively and automate maintenance tasks. By adopting Maintenance Connection, Masters Gallery Foods aimed to improve key metrics such as preventive maintenance completion and reduce unplanned maintenance. The results included an 85% planned maintenance ratio, increased asset uptime, and improved technician response times due to mobile access to information. The case study outlines how the new system provided a single source of truth for asset history and enabled automated reporting, contributing to better visibility and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs). The implementation has positioned the company as a metrics-oriented organization focused on continuous improvement.
