This document is a case study that outlines the implementation of a customized solution for track and trace within a global pharmaceutical company. The company faced significant challenges due to excessive manual work and a lack of visibility in identifying and tracking medical devices across its distribution network. The absence of a centralized data capturing system and integration with SAP hindered maintenance scheduling and impacted sales. To address these issues, a dual combination of supply chain visibility solutions was deployed, initially as a pilot. This system provided real-time visibility of shipped medicines and medical devices throughout the supply chain. The implementation resulted in improved accuracy and operational efficiency through automation, allowing employees to perform transactions from various devices. Additionally, the solution enabled optimized maintenance operations and increased revenue by facilitating the monitoring of medical device usage. The company now complies with international track and trace requirements, including FDA regulations in the US.
