This case study documents Gewobag's approach to managing data complexity as a leading housing company in Germany. Gewobag, which provides affordable homes to over 130,000 tenants, recognized the necessity of a robust data management strategy to support its growth and sustainability objectives. The study outlines the challenges faced by Gewobag, including issues with data sources, transparency, quality, self-service tools, and analytics capabilities. To address these challenges, Gewobag initiated a project to implement a data catalog solution, which was identified as key to improving data management practices. The case study details the features and benefits of the Actian Data Intelligence Platform selected by Gewobag, emphasizing its capabilities in data interrelationships, transparency, access, quality, and literacy.
