This case study details the implementation of Adaptigent's Adaptive Integration Fabric by a leading luxury sports car manufacturer. The manufacturer aimed to enhance customer experience by allowing prospective buyers to customize and interact with their new sports car model online. The challenge involved replacing a 3270-based vehicle specification and configuration system, which was complex due to its reliance on the IBM z/OS operating system. The manufacturer evaluated several options, including connecting to a Windows GUI and developing a Java GUI, but ultimately chose Adaptigent's solution. The Adaptive Integration Fabric enabled the publication of business logic as APIs without additional processing capacity on the mainframe, fulfilling project guidelines and budget constraints. The installation was completed in approximately three hours, with no programming required. The solution allowed for secure information transfer and integration of mainframe applications, resulting in the development of around 70 APIs to support approximately 350 back-end operations, significantly improving operational efficiency.
