This case study outlines the successful implementation of real-time payment processing by a major European bank, which became the first in France to execute such a transaction. The bank, with significant assets and revenue, faced the challenge of integrating legacy systems with modern applications to facilitate instant payments. To address this, they utilized Adaptigent's Adaptive Integration Fabric, which enabled the creation of complex APIs that linked core systems to real-time money transfer applications. The solution allowed for the auto-generation of code integrated into existing COBOL programs, facilitating the necessary customer-level authentication and interfacing with FIS’s Clear-2-Pay application. This integration was completed in under two months, avoiding the need for extensive employee training or hiring. The case study highlights the bank's ambition to lead in innovation and customer service within the rapidly evolving landscape of real-time payments in Europe.
