Case Study on Digital Insurance Implementation

This case study details the implementation of a new digital commercial insurance platform named andsafe by Provinzial NordWest, a major German insurance group. The project commenced in October 2018 and concluded in September 2019, with a go-live date in May 2019 after receiving regulatory approval from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The challenge was to create a fully cloud-based insurance solution within a tight six-month timeline. adesso insurance solutions was selected as the primary partner, responsible for backend systems, while ARITHNEA contributed to frontend development. The platform utilizes Amazon Cloud services to ensure flexibility and rapid development. The study outlines the project phases, including the establishment of a test environment, integration of various systems, and the launch of initial products such as general commercial liability insurance. The outcome highlights the streamlined processes and enhanced performance achieved through this innovative approach to digital insurance.
