This case study presents the implementation of the High Power C series power supply by Advanced Energy (AE) for a medical treatments manufacturer specializing in flow electroporation. The objective was to provide a reliable dual-output power supply capable of delivering +/-500 V at 125 W, specifically designed for high-volume cell transfection. Traditional methods of static electroporation were limited to single vial transfections, whereas the High Power C series enabled a more efficient approach. The engineering team at AE addressed the challenge by selecting a power supply that ensured high stability and repeatability, critical for maintaining pulse quality necessary for scientific accuracy. The dual-output design allowed for significant space savings and reduced complexity in the customer's supply chain by consolidating two power supplies into one.
