Impact of My Math Academy on Oklahoma Students

This report is a research brief that examines the implementation of My Math Academy at Epic Charter Schools in Oklahoma during the 2023–2024 school year. It details the program's expansion following a successful pilot in the previous year, involving 2,252 students in grades 1 and 2. The report outlines the training provided to educators and the expected usage of the program. Key findings indicate that students who engaged with My Math Academy achieved significantly higher scores on the Star Math™ assessment compared to non-users, with first graders gaining approximately 2.5 months and second graders about 3 months of additional math learning. The report includes data on student progress, highlighting variations in usage and achievement. Feedback from 219 educators reveals that a majority found the program supportive and effective in enhancing student engagement and confidence in math.
