This research brief presents findings from the implementation of My Reading Academy during the 2024-2025 school year across 17 voluntary pre-kindergarten sites in Brevard County. The study involved 283 students, with specific focus on 239 students who had matched assessment scores from fall 2024 and spring 2025. The report details the correlation between the duration of program engagement and improvements in early literacy assessment scores. It highlights that pre-kindergarteners who participated for more weeks demonstrated significant growth, with each additional week linked to an average increase of 2.7 points on the Star Early Literacy assessment. Furthermore, students mastering over 20 learning units achieved an expected score that was 50 points higher than their peers who did not use the program, equivalent to approximately 4.2 months of additional learning. Educator feedback indicates a positive impact on student engagement and enjoyment in learning to read, despite some technical challenges encountered during implementation.
