This research brief presents findings from a study conducted in Jefferson County Schools regarding the use of My Reading Academy, a digital learning program aimed at enhancing early reading skills. The study involved 198 students across kindergarten to 2nd grade, with 184 students providing assessment scores from fall and spring evaluations. Results indicated that a significant percentage of students were on track for the next school year in reading, with 80% in spring compared to 60% in fall. Notably, 2nd graders who began below grade level showed improved scores associated with increased usage of the program. Educator feedback highlighted the program's positive impact on academic achievement and student confidence. The brief also notes that Jefferson County School improved its grade from the Florida Department of Education, attributing part of this turnaround to the implementation of My Reading Academy. Key findings include significant growth in assessment scores and educators' support for the program's continued use.
