This case study examines the implementation of My Reading Academy, a digital learning program aimed at enhancing early reading skills among pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students during the pandemic. Conducted in spring 2021 across two school districts in southern Texas, the study involved 193 students, with 157 actively using the program. The curriculum is designed to develop foundational reading skills through a game-based approach that incorporates phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Key findings indicate that students using My Reading Academy for 10-12 weeks significantly improved their reading skills, with pre-kindergarten students nearly tripling and kindergarten students more than doubling their skills. The program also positively impacted students' performance on end-of-year literacy assessments, with correlations observed between the number of skills mastered and assessment scores. Teacher feedback highlighted the program's ease of use and its effectiveness in fostering individualized instruction and student engagement.
