UCCU Implementation of Alacriti's Orbipay Solutions

This case study details the implementation of Alacriti's Orbipay EBPP and Payments Hub by Utah Community Credit Union (UCCU), a $3 billion credit union. The credit union faced challenges with its previous loan payment system, which only supported debit card payments and lacked real-time payment capabilities. The need for a more efficient solution led UCCU to adopt Alacriti's platforms, which integrated seamlessly with their existing online banking provider. The implementation process was described as smooth, with immediate results including nearly doubled loan payment volume and over $5 million in real-time payments received shortly after launch. The new systems improved staff efficiency, reduced call center volume, and provided better reporting capabilities. UCCU plans to further enhance the platforms by adding credit card and deposit account payments and activating send capabilities for FedNow and RTP in 2026, aiming to offer modern, self-service payment options to its members.
