This case study outlines the data centralization and transformation strategy employed by Trends International in collaboration with AllCloud. The company, a publisher and manufacturer of licensed products, faced operational inconsistencies due to fragmented data management primarily conducted through Excel and PeopleSoft. To enhance sales efficiency and visibility, Trends International sought to implement a modern data warehouse solution that would integrate various data sources, including sales data from Amazon. The project involved utilizing Salesforce.com, Tableau, and a data warehouse hosted on AWS to create a centralized repository for real-time data analysis. AllCloud implemented a Matillion pipeline for data extraction and established a standardized reporting framework, resulting in the creation of 92 metrics for sales reporting. The initiative aimed to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve decision-making capabilities across the organization by providing near real-time visibility into key performance indicators.
