Summary
This document is a case study detailing the public Wi-Fi expansion project in the city of Independence, Oregon. The city, located in a revitalized area known for its wine country, faced challenges in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to the closure of schools and public venues. In response, the city aimed to provide high-quality wireless internet access in three outdoor locations: Riverview Park, Inspiration Garden, and the Public Library. HarborTech Mobility was selected to design and implement a solution within a limited budget. The project utilized Cambium's cnPilot series access points, resulting in the deployment of eight access points across the designated areas. This initiative allows residents and visitors to access reliable wireless internet in the parks, enhancing community engagement and connectivity.
