This case study details the challenges faced by a sponsor in oncology research during a phase III trial involving over 500 patients across multiple regions. The sponsor lacked the necessary expertise and resources to manage Clinical Supply operations and Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems effectively in-house. The urgency to meet aggressive deadlines for investor demands necessitated a rapid and effective solution. Almac ONE was introduced to unify IRT and Clinical Supply functions, bridging the gap between these areas to enhance speed, accuracy, and control. The case study outlines how the Almac ONE team, consisting of experienced professionals, was able to deliver a workable solution within two hours, significantly reducing the time required compared to a multiple vendor approach. The results included meeting deadlines, minimizing errors, and generating ongoing time savings for the sponsor, ultimately allowing for successful trial execution and patient support. The unified approach led to a streamlined process, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing the complexity of vendor management.
