This case study details the collaboration between AIBIZ and AMD, focusing on the implementation of AMD EPYC Server CPUs to enhance AI inference capabilities in semiconductor manufacturing. AIBIZ faced challenges with CPU bottlenecks while analyzing extensive real-time sensor data in fabrication plants. To overcome these issues, AIBIZ deployed AMD EPYC 9355 and 9554 Server CPUs, which enabled a 30% increase in AI inference speed and eliminated existing performance bottlenecks. The study outlines how AIBIZ's software, DutchBoy, utilizes these CPUs to detect wafer defects early in the manufacturing process, thereby improving semiconductor yield and reducing costs. The document also highlights the advantages of using CPUs over GPUs in this context, particularly in terms of heat generation and latency. AIBIZ's technology not only enhances production efficiency but also contributes to significant cost savings in semiconductor fabrication, demonstrating the effectiveness of AMD's hardware in industrial applications.
