Summer of CS 2024 Survey Findings Report

This report presents the preliminary findings from the Summer of CS 2024 survey, which evaluated the Educator Workforce Investment Grant in Computer Science (EWIG: CS). The report outlines the objectives of the Summer of CS workshops, which aimed to enhance the capacity of K-12 educators in California to deliver effective computer science instruction. Key findings indicate that 733 educators participated, with over half lacking prior experience in teaching computer science. Participants reported high satisfaction with the workshop quality, and significant increases in confidence regarding teaching computer science were noted, particularly among women and underrepresented racial groups.
