This report evaluates the effectiveness of the Amira Learning program in enhancing reading skills among Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) students from Kindergarten to fifth grade. The analysis focuses on students who engaged with Amira for 30 or more minutes per week, comparing their performance on the NWEA MAP assessment to peers who used the program less frequently. Key findings indicate that students utilizing Amira for the recommended duration achieved an average gain of 10 percentile points on the MAP assessment. The report highlights consistent improvements across all grades and demographic groups, including Black and Hispanic students, demonstrating the program's equitable effectiveness. The methodology employed Hierarchical Linear Modeling to control for demographic variables and school-level clustering, ensuring robust results. The findings suggest that Amira serves as a scalable and cost-effective alternative to traditional tutoring, providing significant academic benefits and supporting literacy development across diverse student populations.
