Istation Curriculum Usage Recommendations and Reading Growth

This technical report examines the impact of Istation's reading curriculum on student achievement as measured by the ISIP (Indicators of Progress) Reading scores. The study focuses on students in kindergarten through third grade in Idaho schools during the 2021-2022 academic year. It analyzes the relationship between the amount of time students engage with the curriculum and their overall score and percentile gains. Key findings indicate that students who adhered to the recommended usage of 20 to 40 minutes per week experienced significantly higher gains compared to those who did not meet this recommendation. The report details the performance of students across different grade levels and tiers, revealing that kindergarten students who exceeded the recommendation had notably higher gains than those who merely met it. The findings suggest that the Istation curriculum is particularly beneficial for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students, who exhibited greater percentile growth compared to Tier 1 students.
