This case study outlines the collaboration between UW Medicine, Tegria, and Amplifire to enhance the onboarding training program for Electronic Health Record (EHR) education. Faced with high turnover rates and an urgent need to expedite clinician onboarding, UW Medicine evaluated both traditional eLearning and adaptive learning approaches. The decision to implement adaptive learning aimed to improve training efficiencies and learner satisfaction. The study details the phased implementation of the Amplifire platform, which allowed for tailored learning experiences based on individual clinician needs. Key outcomes included significant reductions in training time for both nurses and providers, alongside increased satisfaction rates. The role of Tegria as an implementation partner is highlighted, emphasizing their contributions in curriculum mapping, mentoring, and analytics. The use of learner and content analytics from Amplifire provided insights into knowledge gaps and learner performance, enabling continuous improvement of the training content. Overall, the case study illustrates effective strategies for addressing staffing challenges through innovative training solutions.
