Northwest Local School District Curriculum Implementation Success

This case study details the systematic approach taken by Northwest Local School District in Ohio to implement the Amplify CKLA curriculum, resulting in significant improvements in student literacy scores. The district, serving approximately 8,200 students, faced challenges with its previous reading program, which lacked teacher engagement and effective evaluation processes. In response, the district developed a comprehensive three-year pathway for the new curriculum adoption, emphasizing professional development, community engagement, and clear communication.
