This original article presents a qualitative study focused on enhancing practices within the Department of Medical Education (DME) at Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry in Pakistan. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of DMEs in the context of rapid technological advancements and evolving healthcare demands. It employs an action research methodology, involving focus group discussions with faculty members to gather insights on the strengths and weaknesses of current practices. The findings highlight robust faculty development programs and student support services while identifying areas needing improvement, such as research infrastructure and interdisciplinary collaboration. The article emphasizes the importance of continuous evaluation and adaptation of DMEs to meet the challenges of modern medical education. Recommendations include fostering joint research projects, enhancing faculty development, and improving student support services. Overall, the study underscores the critical role of DMEs in shaping the future healthcare workforce and maintaining high educational standards.
