Comparison of Portable and ICU Pulse Oximeter Measurements

This research article evaluates the agreement between readings from portable pulse oximeters and conventional ICU monitors in healthy adults. Conducted at Baqai Medical University, the study involved 200 participants and utilized regression and Bland-Altman analyses to assess the accuracy of both devices. Findings indicate that modern portable pulse oximeters can reliably rule out hypoxemia, supporting their use in clinical settings.
