This case study details the implementation of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) by DXC Technology, a large multinational information technology services and consulting company. The objective was to unify access controls to enhance network security and streamline operations amidst the challenges posed by multiple mergers and acquisitions. DXC transitioned from disparate VPNs to AppGate's ZTNA, which significantly reduced administrative overhead and improved user access provisioning times from four days to 30 seconds. The implementation also led to a 67% reduction in overall connectivity costs by removing MPLS from over 600 sites. The case study outlines how the ZTNA solution facilitated not only operational efficiencies but also addressed security gaps, enabling secure access for users across various devices and locations. The results demonstrated a quick time-to-value with full ZTNA implementation achieved in just 120 days for a user base exceeding 100,000, showcasing the effectiveness of the solution in transforming DXC’s network infrastructure.
