This case study outlines the transformation of CSE Morse, a Michigan-based HVAC and sheet metal fabrication company, through the implementation of a cloud-based document management system. The company faced challenges with their paper-based processes, which were exacerbated by the pandemic, making remote work nearly impossible. To address these issues, Applied Innovation partnered with CSE Morse to digitize seven years' worth of records and over 100 banker’s boxes. The project resulted in a secure, searchable document management system that allowed Project Managers to access critical documents remotely. The transition to a paperless system eliminated the need for physical file cabinets and off-site storage, enabling instant access to job files for faster project execution. The initiative also included secure backup protocols and ongoing support from Applied Innovation, resulting in significant time and cost savings across departments. The case study highlights the benefits of modernizing document workflows in the skilled trades industry.
