Agile Security Implementation for Global IT Infrastructure

This case study details a solution implemented for an intelligence community agency to establish and sustain full cybersecurity situational awareness across a global IT infrastructure. The agency faced challenges in centrally monitoring the security posture of numerous endpoints in near real-time while providing remote management and software deployment for hundreds of IT staff. The solution involved a custom-built Web Console that allows over 1,000 Information Technology Support staff to manage and deploy software to their endpoints. The implementation leveraged the IBM BigFix product suite to enable real-time monitoring and management of over 150,000 endpoints. The solution also automated the consolidation of asset information, facilitating compliance with NIST and RMF reporting requirements. The case study outlines the features of the solution, including integration with various enterprise software suites, and highlights the benefits of enhanced visibility and operational efficiency for the customer’s mission.
