Case Management Solution for Secure Data Sharing

This case study discusses the development and deployment of a case management solution designed to securely store and share counterintelligence field activity (CIFA) information across various intelligence community (IC) agencies. The objective was to create a highly secure system that accommodates the sensitive nature of the data while allowing access and collaboration among different agencies. The solution involved centralizing previously isolated case management repositories into a single integrated suite of applications. Key features included a user authentication mechanism for granular access control and a defect tracking system to manage issues during development. The application was designed to facilitate secure data exchange between systems with varying security classifications. The implementation of this case management system has significantly enhanced interagency collaboration, improved security access control through role-based access control (RBAC) architecture, and streamlined the management of CIFA activities across multiple security classifications.
