Cloud-Based Environment for Unclassified Software Development

This document is a case study that outlines the establishment of a scalable and secure cloud-based environment aimed at enabling unclassified software development. The objective was to modernize and consolidate all unclassified software development efforts within an enterprise to minimize costs, enhance security, and provide governance over assets. The case study details the challenges faced by the customer, including the need to maintain a fully accredited and Authority to Operate (ATO) environment, track and enforce budgets across cloud resources, and implement complex auditing and logging controls. The solution involved the implementation of a Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering backed by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which allowed software developers and product owners to host applications in a secure and high-performance environment. The case study also describes the features of the Altitude managed service solution that was tailored to meet the customer's requirements and accommodate additional use cases and project teams.
