Enhanced Security Solutions for Sensitive Data Management

This case study outlines the challenges faced by a Defense customer in improving the security of sensitive data while utilizing cost-reducing technologies for their IT infrastructure. The customer aimed to remove sensitive data-at-rest from end user workstations and sought a method for the rapid deployment of SIPRNET to both temporary and permanent enclaves, ensuring high security within a virtualized infrastructure. The solution provided by AI involved designing and implementing a secure and affordable infrastructure that met NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) standards. Collaborating with experts from the Air Force Research Laboratory and major technology firms, AI developed a system that enabled the secure management of data-at-rest and facilitated quick SIPRNET connectivity deployment. The benefits included complete security for sensitive data, improved compliance with DOD and STIG standards, centralized data management, and the capability to apply security patches effectively.
