HEI Hotels Oracle Integration Cloud Migration Case Study

This case study outlines the migration of HEI Hotels and Resorts from the Java Cloud Service (JCS) framework to a modern platform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The primary objective was to ensure business continuity while transitioning from the outdated JCS framework, which was set to be decommissioned. HEI Hotels utilized Oracle Fusion for business management and iBuyEfficient for purchasing, with data synchronization previously managed by custom-built applications. The migration involved a two-phase Go-Live plan executed in collaboration with Apps Associates, focusing on rebuilding integrations and dashboards using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Basic Cloud Service (VBCS), and Autonomous Database (ADB). Key challenges included the expedited timeline for migration and the complexity of existing integrations. The migration resulted in improved security, a 37% reduction in support tickets, and enhanced customer satisfaction, demonstrating the effectiveness of the new system in meeting business needs.
