This case study outlines the migration of a SaaS human resource management platform from AngularJS to Angular, undertaken by Apriorit for their client, Payday Resources Group. The objective was to enhance the platform's security and ensure it remained up-to-date, as support for AngularJS was ending. Apriorit developed a comprehensive migration plan using the ngUpgrade library, allowing for a smooth transition while maintaining the existing codebase. The project was divided into five steps: updating the technology stack, creating a new Angular application, upgrading core AngularJS services, configuring the production build, and updating project documentation. Throughout the migration, the Apriorit team collaborated closely with the client's in-house team, ensuring effective communication and project management. The result was a high-quality migration plan that allowed the client to gradually modernize their application, maintain functionality, and introduce new features without a complete rewrite. This approach minimized risks and improved the application's overall performance and security.
