OncoJourney Event Analysis and Insights

This document is a case study detailing the OncoJourney event focused on analyzing care variability within a specific health system. The primary objective was to understand the reasons behind variations in patient care across the main center and its satellite locations. The analysis utilized real-world data to facilitate discussions among a multidisciplinary care team, highlighting key areas of variability in treatment pathways. The study identified eight critical areas where care differed, both within the health system and in relation to established guidelines. After an initial evaluation period of four months, a follow-up event was conducted to reassess these insights, revealing some areas of progress while others showed minimal change. The case study emphasizes the importance of data-driven discussions in uncovering the underlying factors contributing to care variability and the potential for expanding the OncoJourney framework to additional health systems based on demonstrated value.
