XM30 Infantry Combat Vehicle Development Collaboration

This technical report outlines the collaboration between General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) and Strategic Technology Consulting (STC) in advancing the XM30 Infantry Combat Vehicle. The XM30 is designed as a next-generation replacement for the M2 Bradley, featuring advanced technologies such as an unmanned turret and hybrid-electric propulsion. The report details how GDLS has integrated digital engineering practices, particularly model-based systems engineering (MBSE), to meet the U.S. Army's evolving requirements. It describes the transformation of traditional milestone reviews into a fully digital critical design review (CDR), which utilized live system models for real-time collaboration and decision-making. The partnership has resulted in a comprehensive system model that supports over 200 engineers and millions of model elements, enhancing transparency and efficiency in the development process. The report also highlights the operationalization of the system model as a living product, facilitating ongoing updates and integration as the XM30 program progresses towards prototype deliveries planned for 2026.
