This case study examines Victory Concrete's transition from Arcoro’s ExakTime to a competitor's product, referred to as Company B, and their subsequent return to ExakTime. Initially, Victory Concrete selected ExakTime to enhance their timekeeping and payroll processes by automating what was previously a manual system. After encountering numerous inefficiencies with Company B, including unreliable connections, integration problems with QuickBooks, and facial recognition failures, the company faced significant operational challenges. The support from Company B was inadequate, leading to delays and ongoing frustrations. Ultimately, the difficulties and security concerns prompted Victory Concrete to revert to manual tracking. The case illustrates that while Company B offered lower costs and attractive features, the actual execution did not meet expectations, leading Victory Concrete to return to ExakTime, where they found greater reliability and support. This experience emphasizes the importance of choosing a timekeeping solution based on functionality and support rather than just price.
