This case study details the deployment of Armis Centrix™ for enhancing IT and OT asset visibility and security at a large poultry manufacturing facility in Nebraska. The facility, which processes 400,000 chickens daily and employs 1,100 staff, faced significant challenges in managing its operational technology (OT) network, which was largely opaque and managed by various independent vendors. The IT team struggled with limited visibility into connected devices and their interactions, creating vulnerabilities. The solution involved deploying Armis Centrix™, which integrated with existing systems such as Microsoft Azure and VMware, enabling real-time monitoring and alerting of network-connected devices. This deployment led to the identification of 4,500 assets, improving network investigation times from one hour to just five minutes. Additionally, it enhanced security by providing alerts for unauthorized changes to OT devices, streamlining audit preparation, and facilitating compliance reporting. The case study illustrates the operational improvements and security enhancements achieved through this deployment.
