This case study details the challenges faced by a leading global electronic component manufacturer in managing vulnerability findings across its network. The company, which operates over 100 production plants worldwide, encountered difficulties due to inherited disjointed detection tools from various acquisitions. The lack of a consolidated view of alerts led to inefficient processes and hindered the security team's ability to prioritize remediation efforts effectively. To address these issues, the security team implemented Armis Centrix™, which facilitated the consolidation and de-duplication of alerts, enabling a centralized asset inventory. This approach improved risk-based prioritization and streamlined communication between the security and IT operations teams. The results included a significant increase in productivity and closed tickets, as well as substantial cost savings from retiring overlapping detection tools. The case study illustrates the importance of integrating asset risk management to enhance collaboration and efficiency within security operations.
