This case study details the usability testing conducted by Arvato Systems for Schüco's new website area aimed at private building owners. The objective was to ensure that the website design was user-friendly and intuitive. The testing involved a click dummy that simulated user interactions, allowing testers to navigate the site and complete specific tasks. A total of eight test subjects, who met certain criteria, participated in the sessions, which included qualitative interviews and real-time observation. The results indicated that users could navigate the website effectively, with only minor usability issues identified, such as insufficient contrast in some areas. The findings provided Schüco with valuable insights into user behavior and preferences, confirming that the website met its quality standards as a premium manufacturer. The study emphasizes the importance of early user involvement in website development to enhance user experience and achieve desired outcomes.
