This case study outlines the audio system upgrade completed by Advanced Systems Group (ASG) at Yoshi's jazz club in Oakland, California. The project involved replacing a 25-year-old Meyer Sound system with a new setup designed to enhance sound quality and performance. The upgrade was expedited through collaboration with local firms and the use of predictive audio design tools, specifically Meyer’s MAPP 3D program, which helped optimize sound distribution in the club's unique acoustics. The installation process was completed in nine days, minimizing downtime for the venue. The new system includes various loudspeakers and a GALAXY 816 network platform for system drive and optimization. Feedback from artists and club owners indicates a significant improvement in sound quality, with notable praise from performers and engineers alike. This project exemplifies ASG's capability to deliver advanced audio solutions efficiently while meeting the specific needs of a performance venue.
