Barefoot Sound Immersive Audio Demo Room Project

This case study details the collaboration between Barefoot Sound and Advanced Systems Group (ASG) in creating an immersive audio demo room. Barefoot Sound, known for its high-quality studio monitors, sought to establish its first Dolby Atmos demo space at The Lot at Formosa, a historic studio in West Hollywood. The project involved comprehensive system design and integration, ensuring that the room met both Barefoot's and Dolby's standards. ASG's Vice President of Audio, Tom Menrath, played a crucial role in the partnership, which evolved from a casual conversation into a full collaboration. The design process included developing speaker plots, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings for a 7.1.4 Atmos environment. The final setup featured Barefoot's MicroMain monitors and a range of audio equipment, all meticulously tuned for optimal performance. The project not only fulfilled technical requirements but also reflected Barefoot's commitment to quality in immersive audio experiences.
