Signage and Wayfinding Program for East Jefferson Hospital

This document is a technical report detailing the signage and wayfinding program implemented at East Jefferson Hospital following its acquisition by LCMC Health in 2020. The report outlines the strategic expansion efforts aimed at modernizing the hospital campus and enhancing patient experience through a comprehensive signage initiative. ASI was selected to develop a cohesive signage system that includes nearly 1,000 signs of 50 unique types, such as directional signage, dimensional letters, maps, and ADA-compliant room signage. The project faced challenges due to ongoing renovations, requiring ASI to maintain accuracy and consistency in the signage as the campus evolved. The resulting signage program is designed to effectively guide patients through the facility while reflecting the hospital's refreshed identity and supporting LCMC Health's long-term vision for the campus.
