Justice Juanita Kidd Stout Center Audio Upgrade

This document is a case study detailing the audio upgrade project at the Justice Juanita Kidd Stout Center for Criminal Justice in Philadelphia. The courthouse, which serves as the main criminal courthouse for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, underwent significant improvements to its audio systems due to outdated technology and poor sound quality in its courtrooms. Houser Audio was selected to manage the upgrade, which involved the installation of AtlasIED FC104T ceiling speakers in 51 standard courtrooms and additional speakers in three larger ceremonial courtrooms. The audio systems were designed to minimize feedback through a matrixed mix-minus configuration. The project also included the installation of HDMI table grommets for attorneys to display evidence from laptops. The installation was completed within a challenging seven-week timeline, and the improvements received positive feedback from court personnel, highlighting the enhanced audio clarity and functionality of the upgraded systems.
