This case study outlines the fleet electrification initiative undertaken by Mecklenburg Paint Company (MPC) in collaboration with Inovis Energy and Atom Power. The project aims to reduce carbon emissions and operating costs by transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs). In 2023, MPC installed four dual-port Atom EV chargers at its Charlotte facility, marking the beginning of this transition. The case study details the objectives of engaging turn-key partners to manage the electrification process, including securing grants and funding for workplace charging. It highlights the selection of Atom Power's level 2 charging solution for its reliability and cost-effectiveness. The installation of these chargers is expected to enhance fleet availability, reduce maintenance needs, and maximize the use of available rebates. The results indicate a reduction in carbon emissions and improved customer satisfaction, showcasing the effectiveness of the partnership in achieving sustainable transportation goals.
