Queensland University of Technology SaaS Transition Case Study

This case study details the strategic transition of Queensland University of Technology's (QUT) Student Management System to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. The project was initiated due to the impending end-of-life vendor support for the existing on-premises TechnologyOne solution, which was highly customized and integrated. Atturra was engaged to provide technical and functional consulting services over a two-year period to facilitate this complex migration. The transition involved refactoring and testing over 600 custom artifacts and 400 integrations, addressing the challenges posed by QUT's extensive use of Oracle databases. The successful completion of this project marked a significant milestone in QUT's digital transformation roadmap, enhancing the university's operational efficiency and reliability.
