Howden Implements AutoRek for Reconciliation Efficiency

This case study details Howden's implementation of AutoRek to enhance their reconciliation processes. Howden, a global insurance intermediary group, faced challenges with reconciling large volumes of diverse, multi-format data from various internal and external sources. Prior to AutoRek, their insurance broker accounting processes were manual and spreadsheet-based, which was inefficient given their business growth. The objective was to automate these processes to improve efficiency. AutoRek provided a tailored solution that streamlined operations, integrated with policy administration systems, and offered real-time reporting capabilities. Since the implementation, Howden has achieved over 50% time savings in reconciliations, with a 76% automatic match rate. The solution has also improved reporting access and increased data control, allowing staff to focus on value-added tasks. Howden plans to expand the use of AutoRek across additional business areas and countries, further enhancing their operational efficiency.
